On October 21, 2025, CHESS researchers took part in a seminar focused on advancing health equity in Sweden and globally. The event, organized by the Stockholm Trio for Sustainable Actions, brought together researchers, policymakers, and experts to discuss current challenges as well as opportunities for advancing health equity.
In addition to panel and group discussions and a networking lunch, the seminar featured keynote presentations from Olivia Wigzell, Director General of the Swedish Public Health Agency and Sudhvir Singh, the Unit Head for Equity and Health at the World Health Organization, who presented findings from the recently launched WHO world report on social determinants of health equity.
